I’ve lived I’ve learned

I’ve cried and burned

Embraced the sweetest Joy

Endured the deepest pain

Fell down stepped up again

Hit the walls and bounced the halls

I’ve  laughed so hard then had to cry

Told the truth and even lied

Loved and Lost feeling blue

Drenched my pen in blood for you

Lived alone faced the dark

Learned to fight for my rights

Conceded defeat for some peace

Dreamed of dreaming

Yet woke up screaming

Without life’s adversity

I would not know simplicity

I swim against the tide

I flow
