Wishes of Rain

I climbed the mountain crag to the top

And Lay my head upon its jagged rocks

My gaze absorbed the cotton ball sky

As wisps of clouds danced to my eyes

A woman wandered in a white dress

From moisture drops of humid air

Her Head threw back a trail of hair

As she laughed against the dying sun

A furry dog bounded from behind

His gnarly jaws spread wide and gapped

Heavens gate screeched  and sighed

A cacophonous shudder boomed up so high

Silver daggers streaked the darkened sky

The rain came down in steamy sheets

I pushed myself up against its wet beat

Heavier it poured flushing the earth

The parched dusty land shook with mirth

Water once again filled the gullies girth
