She walked confident in her denial
Having frequented betrayals’ aisle
Her armour fastened with lesions of regret
Past sorrows unable to forget

Feeling strongest when she sorrowed most
Now emptiness persists as her host
His burning eyes demand acquiesce
Her body and soul he must possess

Beauty mocks with haughty glares of contempt
He’s just an illusion of bliss once dreamt
Touch like feathers sweep over her soul
Waking dormant desire she thought was in lull

Temptations voiced in honeyed Charm
Dissolves resistance and alarm
Her parting lips swell with devil’s thirst
Feeling chains rattle of the cursed

Fires stream thunderously in need
Threaten to combust in passions speed
To devour her is his hungry plea
Conquest a mission he can see

Dilated pupils glisten and blind
Welcoming the devoted to her shrine
Luring those to make her swoon
Grants admittance to her vault room

Fusion crackled in a trance
Fingertips commence their dance
Snaking leisurely tingles in their wake
Discovering hidden detours he must make

Invading valleys and mountain tops
Breathing quickens then abruptly stops
Eyes wide open is this too much
Beggars yell in their cell

Steal the key and set me free

Fear of the exquisite rear its ugly head
Memories in daggers heavy like lead
Snap shackles in tight
This is not the night
