QUESTION: IS IT NORMAL TO DROP OVER 500 FOLLOWERS OVERNIGHT? UPDATED
Sorry to make this a post but I couldn’t find any help on the wordpress support area to answer my question. Is there a fault in the wordpress system or did over 500 followers just un follow me overnight? Has anyone else had this happen. I’m new to blogging. Please help?
Latest update 10th August – After a few kind emails offering help from Blogging friends and WordPress support forum comments most of my followers returned several hours later.
Apparently a British ISP blocked WP.com overnight and then unblocked us, so that might be the cause. Another reason could be if I disconnected some links when I went to publicize a post. I added the widget Meta after the loss thinking that might help and reconnected my links. So who knows what the real reason was.
Relief as I thought I had bored everyone to tears! which is still a future possibility ha! but then I don’t get the time to post much as it is!!
So thank you so much to those that helped me and I’m very thankful to my followers for still being there!
