PEBBLES IN SAND
by Wendy Norman
Quite often I have I thought of you
and the many things that you do.
I sleep at night sometimes you on my mind,
one night with you, would be just fine.
Your eyes bright blue is what I see,
I wonder, wonder, how it would be.
If I could see within your mind,
my soul mirrored would be the sign.
On twisted thorns I lay in wait
My crusading passion will not abate.
So much to like and admire
You set my heart ablaze with fire.
.
I want to know you, fall in abyss,
then send you into heavenly bliss,
hear your words that ignite my desire,
Just one look would take me high.
The day short the night long,
holding you close til the morning song,
These are my thoughts, what I fantasize,
You’re almost perfect in this one’s eyes
You travel far and wide.
It is only time I’ve yet to bide.
But what is it that you hope to find,
when I am here one of a kind.
Or could it be that you are just a clone,
Of all those men that just want to be alone.
They tell their story of great heights,
Of their battled scarred plight.
Shed that armour that’s clenched too tight,
It will suffocate with enveloping contrite.
Let me in, I can swim,
In those deep waters that
run deep within…
