Eidetic Illusions
Cool dark down deep
Infinite weight restrains me in sleep
The blackness so dense
Encased in REM
Tickles of thoughts flutter my lids
Whispering demands hurry
Increasing in tempo falsetto tones
Beseeching in languages unknown
Fists pattering inside temporal lobes
Plunging my cranium in violent strobes
Screams of urgency incense me to action
But my mouth is clenched in paralysis traction
Tenors of desperation surge in symphony
Catapulting my frame bursting shackles of infinity
Voices beckon through parallel realities
Propelling my spirit in forceful flight
Salient shapes ooze and pulse with delight
Eidetic hallucinations of a child
Dressed in linen and lace
Pure white hair clouds of silk
Outstretched hands and cherub face
Distortions lingering in silver space
My captive escorts scream guttural threats
Inky plumes thrust out my guests
Eyes snap open deep painful breaths
Fevered delusions
Channels severed
End of my illusions
Wow, this is incredibly powerful. Fantastic!

Thank you in fact I had that dream two nights ago and it felt too real I was even confused it was a dream. So I had to write this poem. 🙂
