Finding You
I saw him walking he looked at me
I knew he would find me someday
I waited enjoying his every step
Breathing in with bated breath
My heart opened and butterflies flew
The sun shed a golden path filled with dew
Laying a blanket of which to share
So bright the light our hearts did bare
Joy claimed us captives a mutual smile
Lets just sit and wait a while
Locking eyes direct blazing true
There was no fear just me and you
Souls awakening from cloudy mists
They formed a dance of tender bliss
Rumba steps glide and prance passion sizzles
A hundred words flew I watched your mouth
Not hearing just dreaming of your lips
As we gazed in awe of what’s in store
A sigh, relief, hope is restored
The world is good we open the doors
You took my hand like a velvet glove
Electric vibes sent shivers up my spine
Shooting silver stars shot far above
Day became night hours like seconds flicked away
Galaxies formed planets aligned to stay
Just you and me nothing more so fine
I wasn’t scared of broken hearts
I knew with wonder it could be true
He found me I found him what to do
We had walked a hundred dusty miles
Now we can sit awhile and give up the fight
Our souls entwined into the night
