The Force of Love
As I walked through the windy street
I saw two lovers kissing on the seat
The wind blew the leaves from gutters clean
But still they wouldn’t stop kissing so keen
The land lay bare and the wind blew louder
Nothing stirred them from their lustful hour
What a wondrous life lovers led
When all is stirring about their heads
Oblivious they are to any that pass
Ensnared in a lustful wanton trance
He sings a song a bed of roses
He makes from a thousand fragrant posies
Whispering promises he wishes to keep
In a daze she drools your words so sweet
The music of love he will give her
Like the fountains that mingle with the river
And rivers meet the ocean swell
The mountains kiss the sky
The waves clasp the sandy shore
All things join with law divine
In one spirit meet and bind
Love is energy so sublime
Have you been peeping at young lovers again?!
Lovely poem my dear, lovely. Takes me back to when I was sitting on the dock of the bay watching the tiiiii- ahm, sorry. Got carried away. Forgive me
Just stopped by to say hello.
