A Wondrous Life
What a wondrous life it is
To see the sky each day
To breath the air so fresh
To hear the birds tweet
That morning moment
Before all are awake
I ponder life and my fate
Barefeet I walk outside
Toes tingle on soft grass
Wet with morning dew
I have a little laugh
Remembering long ago
Of carefree childhood ways
The simple things were free
Outside we’d spend our days
We never knew what lay ahead
How weary the adults tread
The pressures and worries
To be so much more
To be the best
To have it all
When one sad day
When we pass away
Some may shed a tear
For a day or a week
Miss your happy face
Kind words you did speak
But to be that happy face
Who spoke the kind words
You must live your life
As you would prefer
Tingle those toes
Enjoy simple things
Live a life that makes you sing
