Bali Life

Sukawati Markets – Bali

Take a step outside

Your comfort zone

Travel to destinations unknown

Discover the culture

The simple ways

Of how the locals spend their days

Open your eyes be mesmerised

By the beauty before your eyes

A sunset bleeding through the sky

The colours ablaze with amber fires

Oranges, red and purple hues

A palette of pink, yellow and blue

An ocean rumbles on the shore

Temples built forevermore

A bustling market of interesting food

Animals, meat, flowers and fruit

Baskets, trinkets, clothes and wood

Things you never saw before

That will amaze and never bore

Move away from the usual shops

Go where locals sell their wares

You will see from their stares

Each face tells their story

The journey of survival

A simple path to make a living

Working hard enduring much

Appreciate the land they’re given

Daily offerings to appease the gods

They thank for peace and a living

Offering flowers and piles of petals

A Canang Sari for praise and prayer

Observe the customs of the land

Respect the culture and learn their dreams

Enjoy Bali and live your dreams
