Too much Sanity leads to Insanity
DON’T BE TOO SANE, BECAUSE TOO MUCH SANITY LEADS TO INSANITY
LET A LITTLE CRAZINESS EXIST IN YOU!
An old woman, eighty-five years old, was asked by a journalist that if she had to live again, how would she live? The old woman said – there is a great insight in it, remember it – “If I had my life to live over, I would dare to make more mistakes next time. I would relax, I would limber up. I would be sillier than I have been this trip. I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances. I would take more trips. I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers. I would eat more ice cream and less beans. I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I would have fewer imaginary ones. “You see, I am one of those people who lived sensibly and sanely hour after hour, day after day. Oh, I have had my moments, and if I had it to do over again I would have more of them. In fact, I would try to have nothing else – just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead of each day. I have been one of those persons who never go anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a raincoat and a parachute. If I had to do it again I would travel lighter than I have. “If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring, and stay that way later into the fall. I would go to more dances. I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies.”
I like being organized, too organized it’s part of controlling the craziness the haunting thoughts from past moments that weren’t so light, but in doing so we sometimes prevent the wonderful moments of enlightenment and discovery x a reminder for all of us to relax and go with the flow sometimes
