A Summers Day
Pebbles glistening as the tide draws out
Boats bobbing in the bay
Floating salty humid air
Under the golden light of day
Pelicans stalk along the beach
Fishermen scale and clean their run
Feathers waddle close within reach
Eyeing silver scales glistening in the sun
Catching guts to fill their bills
Waddling off in a drunken fill
Seagulls screeching is there more
As the waves wash against the shore
The sun dips into the azure sea
Mother Nature in its glory
Amber streaks and trumpet peaks
Summer days tell their story
Golden rays light up the bay
A fitting encore to a Summers day
The beauty of the earth
A painting with endless worth
